Flight Connections

When it comes to travel connections with London and beyond, Northern Ireland could hardly be better served. The region’s three main airports – Belfast International Airport, City of Derry Airport and the George Best Belfast City Airport – offer a combined average choice of approximately 30 flights daily to London’s Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted Airports.

What is more, there are now direct flights to Northern Ireland from more than 26 international destinations. This means that it is often quicker and easier to reach London by air from Northern Ireland, than to attempt to travel there by road or rail from other mainland metropolitan centres.

Travel within the region is also hassle-free. Northern Ireland is compact and consists of small to medium sized urban centres connected by a well developed road and rail network. This means that, compared to most other parts of the UK, road traffic is relatively light, delays are rare and journeys are completed with minimum fuss.

You can be anywhere in Northern Ireland within two hours. Good news for highly tuned athletes on the move.
