The National Badminton Centre has a twelve court main hall with a fully sprung wooden floor, newly installed specialist lighting, 10m clearance and 900 retractable seats. A viewing lounge and gallery overlooks the main hall. There is also a three court practice hall. A fitness suite is available within the Centre alongside appropriate ancillary services such as changing facilities, one of which can duplicate as a drug testing suite and a medical room. For relaxation there is a bar and lounge facility with satellite TV. Private catering facilities are available within the venue. Additional sporting facilities, including swimming and sauna facilities, can be found in the nearby Lisburn Leisureplex. The venue is located within the City of Lisburn, eight miles from Belfast City Centre with easy access to all major attractions within Northern Ireland. Accommodation and transport providers can be arranged through the venue. World class medical facilities including the Sports Injury Clinic at Musgrave Park Hospital are located within 20 minutes of the venue. The venue has hosted European Badminton Union events, including the Europe Cup, and the Yonex Irish International Badminton Championship from 2004 – 2007 which formed part of the European Grand Prix circuit. Annually it also hosts many Irish and Ulster Championships.

Facilities include sports halls, a floodlit water based hockey pitch including a strength and conditioning suite and excellent ancillary facilities. The venue has hosted a number of multi sport events including the Irish University Championships in Volleyball, Basketball, Hockey, Judo, Badminton, Soccer, Table Tennis and the British University Games in Basketball, Hockey, Volleyball, Badminton. Archery: Northern Ireland Indoor Archery Championships. Fencing: Currently being considered for the World Cadet Fencing Championships 2009. Hockey: Ulster Womens Hockey Cup Finals Ulster Womens/Mens Hockey Training Camps. Table Tennis: Northern Ireland Table Tennis Championships. |
